For more than a decade, Arnie has helped family members, friends' kids and, yes, numerous clients on their journeys along the intimidating and sometimes-stressful road of their college essays. As their mentor, he's worked to help them focus their writing, target the message they want to convey to individual colleges and to get that email all high schoolers ultimately wait for: "You're in!"

Arnie's background and rare combination of skill sets helped him create The Center for Essay Excellence. A veteran newspaper editor, one of his greatest satisfactions was coaching young reporters and interns, helping them develop their writing abilities and find their "voice."
